The next time you shop inform the cashier at checkout that you would like to link your Thank You card to VUU. Provide our ID# 23845. Even if you have linked to another organization you can still link to VUU.
ALBERTSON's
Get a Community Partners card at the grocery table. Show it when you check out and we will be credited.
SAFEWAY
Log on to www.escrip.com. Click on "Supporter" and then type Valley Unitarian Universalist Church or the group ID# 9603946 and the website will take you through the rest of the process. This must be renewed annually between August 1 and November 1. If you do not have internet access or have problems signing up or renewing on line, call 1-800-801-4973 to register by phone.
Escrip has an easy way to have additional contributions made to VUU, and you can have fun at the same time! If you have a Safeway card and have VUU registered as your charity, you're already on escrip. If not, you can sign up now at escrip.com. All you need to do is register your other debit and/or credit cards on the site, and then have dinner at a participating restaurant and pay with one of those cards. A portion of the amount you spend will then go to VUU.
I recently received an email stating I had earned a contribution for VUU, and it was a surprise. I did a search on the escrip site for participating restaurants in my neighborhood, and found there are 17 within 5 miles, many different kinds. I also was sent a "Rate Your Dine" email and by filling it out, doubled the amount of my contribution. Each individual amount may be small, but if a lot of us participated, the total amount contributed to VUU could really add up.
FRY's
Purchase a $5 gift card at church. Before you shop, stop at the customer service counter and put any amount you wish to spend, up to $500, on the card. Use the card to pay for your groceries. If you have a gift card registered with VUU and have not used it for 90 days or more you will need to get a new one from us.
