Office Volunteers

Assist in the office, during regular business office, with reception, mailings, copying, filing, the Order of Service, newsletter and other general office duties. Contact the office if you have time to share.

Facility Planning Team

The purpose of this team is to develop plans for and approve any future projects that require permanent modifications to our property.

Has been actively seeking compliance of all the VUU facilities, through our Mtc Tech, Grants and their own hard work!

Finance Team

This team meets monthly to monitor spending throughout the year. This committee also coordinates the yearly budget process for approval by the VUU membership.

Mailing Crew

This group gets together once or twice a month to assemble and get ready for mailing of the newsletter or other congregation mailing. They are always looking for help.

Grocery Program Coordinator

Four grocery chains. Fry's, Safeway, Bashas and Albertsons, donate from 1% to 3% of our grocery purchases to VUU. The grocery program coordinator is responsible for being the contact for these programs and getting information to the congregation about this opportunity.

Memorial Garden

Primarily responsible for assisting members in obtaining a special place in the Garden, and maintaining the beauty of the Garden.

Personnel Committee

Works with the minister and administrative staff on personnel concerns or issues related to church staff. Updates personnel policies and procedures. Acts as liaison on issues that may need mediation.

Sextons

VUU Sextons are representative at all non-church events as well as, church weddings, memorials. This is a paid position, with training available. All sextons are on a rotation, giving everyone an opportunity to participate. Please sign up, anyone can join the list!

WEB/IT Team

This team is responsible for the upkeep and design of the VUU website. Assistance is also given in the office on IT issues. Please make contact if you are interested and can help with IT issues, generally during regular office hours.

Caring and Concerns

Neighborhood Contacts foster a loving and caring community in which VUU menbers and friends nurture, support and assist each other through life's joys and trials. Volunteers provide short-term assistance to church members including meals, support and transportation. Lay Pastoral Care

Provides additional resources for pastoral care to the congregation.

Committee on Ministry(COM)

Advisory team to the Minister.

Library and Bookstore

Provides a lending library and also sells new UU books, music, jewelry and other items.

VUU Cafe

A fundraising and community building group, the VUU Café prepares and serves a lunch after church the 2nd Sunday of the month (except in the summer months). We are always looking for volunteers to serve, set up, clean up, cashier, etc.

Membership Team

This group carries out new member classes as needed throughout the year and assists new members in getting acquainted with church activities.
